Ledgent Technology is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI agents and AI-powered applications that solve real business problems. This role will focus on evaluating LLMs, developing agent-based solutions, and partnering with business and technical teams to deliver scalable AI capabilities.
What You'll Do
- Design and develop AI agents and AI-powered applications
- Build solutions utilizing LLMs, RAG, tool orchestration, reasoning chains, and workflow automation
- Evaluate AI models based on accuracy, cost, performance, and scalability
- Create frameworks to measure and monitor AI agent effectiveness in production
- Partner with data engineering and business teams to deliver practical AI solutions
- Help establish AI governance, best practices, and lifecycle management
- Communicate technical concepts and tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
What We're Looking For
- Experience building and deploying AI agents or AI-powered applications
- Strong Python development experience
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, agent frameworks, and prompt engineering
- Understanding of machine learning, statistics, model evaluation, and data quality
- Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, testing, and production support practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and business teams
Preferred
- MLOps or AIOps experience
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or GitHub Copilot
